Christmas Break "Homework"

Merry Christmas!!!

I pray all of my third graders will have a wonderful, enjoyable time away from school for Christmas break.

For homework, I would like for them to read for 20 minutes each day (Monday through Friday) for a total of 300 minutes.  (15 days times 20 minutes)  If they cannot read each day, then they can 'catch up' on weekends.

Also, I want them to make their own multiplication flash cards for 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.  They can make these using 3x5 index cards or some other type of thick paper.  (An example of one would be to put 6x3 on one side and the other side would say 6x3=18.)

Enjoy your time together as a family.  May God bless each and every one of you as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Blessings,
Ms. Anita

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to let you know about homework until now.  I'm doing better, thanks to some antibiotics.

Homework for Mon., Dec. 9

Math:  p. 111, 112, 113, 114 and boardwork

Also, I asked each student to bring his/her own pencil sharpener.  Several students are having to borrow a pencil sharpener every day.  This causes us to use valuable class time just to have pencils sharpened and ready to use.  Please try to get a sharpener that will last and do a good job.  For some reason, some sharpeners do not seem to do a very good job at sharpening pencils.  Thank you.
