Homework for Fri., Jan. 31

Math - p. 143-144 (I think I put the wrong page numbers yesterday.  Sorry about that.)  

Reading - Mrs. Lucy's work and read for 30 minutes

Spelling - write a definition for all words in List 23


Updates:

Please don't forget to send either an empty shoe box or a large, empty tissue box with your child to class.  Each child will be decorating his or her own box in which to put Valentines.  (I have not yet told them about this.)  Have a good weekend!

Thanks to those who have sent in paper towels.  We sometimes go through one roll in a day... depending on the size of the roll, the temperature outside, and the number of spills.

Updates:

Students were to have written for five minutes on a topic of their choosing this past weekend.  Only five out of 21 students turned this assignment in today.  Also, only about half of the students turned in their Spelling homework that they had over the weekend.  

I have received some report cards back from students, but not all report cards have been returned.  

On Thurs., Jan. 16, I sent home tests and quizzes stapled together with a "coversheet"  that parents/guardians need to sign and return to class.  Thank you to those who have signed and returned that sheet.

Also, thank you to another parent who sent in some paper towels today.  They are greatly appreciated.

Writing - Write for 5 minutes (They can write about anything.)

Spelling - List 22 - Write definitions for all 24 words (They may use a dictionary, go online and use an online dictionary, OR... if they do not have access to the internet or a dictionary, they may ask someone who knows what each word means.)

Math - p. 135-136 (Most finished this in class.)

Several students have not turned in Language homework from last Thursday.  They will have a zero unless they turn in something.  If they turn in something, it will be considered late... but at least it will not be a zero.
