AND... have parent/guardian sign papers.  (I sent home a set of stapled papers.  Please sign the small attached green piece of paper and return it to school tomorrow.)

Plan for 11/18 through 11/22

Math

This week, we will be looking at greater than, less than, and equal to.  Please continue to drill multiplication facts with your child daily.  Also, please review with them how division and multiplication relate.  We do this in class, but they need lots of repetition.

Next Monday, the students will be taking a test.

Reading

We almost finished Swiss Family Robinson on Friday.  We will start a new reading book on Tuesday.  Please continue to encourage your child to read for at least 20 minutes each evening.  I am still working on the best way to present a Reading Log incentive.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Science

Students need to continue to work on their Science Notebook projects which will be due on Thursday, December 12.  If your child will not be in school on that day or on the last day prior to Christmas Break, he/she will need to turn it in BEFORE they leave school for Christmas Break.  Please carefully read the information sheet I sent home.  If you have questions, please let me know.  Your child's grade on this project will depend in large part on how well he or she follows directions... including turning it in ON TIME!

History

This week, we will be looking at George Washington and then reviewing William Penn, Ben Franklin, and George Washington. There will be a quiz on Tuesday covering pages 84-97.  Then, there will be a Test on Friday covering pages 62-97.

Spelling

Wednesday will be the pre-test for list 15.  And, the final test will be on Thursday or Friday, depending on how things go after the pre-test on Wednesday.
